Cambridge Mayor's Celebration of the Arts

9:40 PM
Free

We are thrilled to be playing the Main Stage (near the new city hall) for this exceptional event! Set time from 9:40 until 10:25pm.

Each year, for one evening in June, the Cambridge Mayor’s Celebration of the Arts presents to the community a variety of works by Cambridge and Cambridge-connected artists. The exhibition focuses on juried works in the visual, literary and performance arts and, within these, a wide variety of styles and genres.

The CMCA started some 13 years ago as a small art display program hosted out of the School of Architecture facility. Since then, and since moving the location in 2008 to the new city hall (and the square and streets surrounding it), the event has grown both in the variety of arts and artists featured and through the addition of extra art-related elements.

Currently, in addition to showcasing the juried works of both youth and adult artists, the Celebration joins with a small number of differing partners to provide some special art experiences for our audiences. For the last few years we have also included several child and family-centred activities which start in the late afternoon.

Admission to the event is free. However, we invite a selection of Cambridge restaurants to demonstrate their specialties by providing various foods and beverages for nominal costs.
