Local 293 of the Hamilton Musicians' Guild will be hosting a concert to raise funds for the Bob Pedler Memorial Fund. We are proud to once again to be included among the great performers at this event for the very worthy cause of offering aid to our fellow musicians who are unable to perform due to injury or illness. Cootes Paradise will take the stage at 4:40pm.

THE HAMILTON MUSICIANS’ GUILD
Presents The 3rd Annual Bob Pedler Memorial Fundraiser
SATURDAY OCTOBER 26 – 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm
STONEWALLS TAVERN – 339 York Blvd, Hamilton

The event runs from noon until six and will present nonstop music featuring many talented Local 293 members – surely something to please all musical tastes.

The event serves a twofold purpose. It raises money for the Bob Pedler Memorial Fund which financially aids Hamilton musicians who are unable to perform due to injury or ongoing health issues. The fund is named for the late Bob Pedler, a popular musician and music store owner in the city and a former member of the executive board of the Hamilton Musicians’ Guild. Bob is also the father of the well-known Hamilton based drummer Jack Pedler (Teenage Head).

Aside from raising money for the Pedler Fund the event also is an opportunity for the Hamilton Musicians’ Guild to present the George R. Robinson Award to two deserving recipients. The Robinson Award, named in honour of the Guild’s founder, is our chance to honour local men and women who have distinguished themselves by their exemplary support of live music and musicians in the Hamilton area. This year we pay tribute to the passion and commitment of Judy Marsales and Dr. John Chong (Hamilton Musicians’ Clinic).  Once again, the concert takes place October 26 at Stonewalls with music getting underway at noon.

Admission is $10 and will include a chance to win a number of door prizes including an Epiphone Dove Pro Electric / Acoustic Guitar (donated by Long & McQuade) and tickets to an upcoming HPO concert in April, 2020 at FirstOntario Concert Hall featuring the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra (HPO) performing a Sci-Fi Spectacular – selections include iconic themes from Star Wars, E.T., Star Trek, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future and much more!
